Don't spend your precious time asking "Why isn't the world a better place?" It will only be time wasted. The question to ask is "How can I make it better?" To that there is an answer.
All Feeling Better

In the right light,
things glisten, glow, sparkle—
appear extraordinary.
Light is simple, basic, necessary. Light is comfort; it is a guide;
it is a metaphor for happiness,
for knowledge, and for clarity.
It is a symbol of enlightenment
and of promise.
Love this quote and writing it in my journal. Happy Snow Days!!
ReplyDeleteSo true. Thanks for making Alina's world so much better.
ReplyDeleteShelly, have you read any Leo Buscaglia? If not, you need to!
ReplyDeleteI often have to remind myself to switch to the "What" questions rather than the "Why" questions.
ReplyDeleteI want a SNOW DAY!! What are you guys doing all cooped up together??? Sounds like fun to me so enjoy yourselves!
Kristin, while I am certain Shelly has designed some awesome craft project for her children today, I am baking dessert bars with way too much butter, and teaching my older kids to play euchre :).
ReplyDeleteThat's right. :)
ReplyDeleteLeo Buscaglia touched my heart many years ago, and remains one of my favorite people of all time :)
ReplyDeleteHave you ever read that story in a little Christmas book about Bali.....and Christmas traditions there? It was one of his and I've always loved it for some reason.
Seven Stories of Christmas Love....by Leo Buscaglia....I LOVE that book and haven't thought about it in years...I used to dig it out every Christmas, but haven't lately...I think I'll go look for it now :)
