The Missing Piece, by Brian

Bridget and Alina have changed a lot since the spring when we brought Alina home. Alina has been changing, like her laugh when we first met her was bland and did not express her self.   But with a little bit of love, it has changed.  It is full of feeling and full of joy.  She's been given a second chance.  It was our destiny to adopt her.  And now Bridget has a buddy.  The empty spot in her life has filled in.  She has someone she can relate to, grow up with and love.

  1. I like how you described the changes to Alina's laugh from the time she has been home in the love of your family. You not only told us how she looks with love, but also how she sounds given a second chance!!

  3. I think it's just about the greatest thing that Alina and Bridget are so close in age and will grow up together in such a wonderful family! I can't wait for Nadia to "catch up" with Josi so they can enjoy the same things, hobbies, activities, etc. That will be fun too!

  4. How fun! It's amazing to hear about how much Alina is changing as she gets used to being loved, just for being her. :) There's nothing like the laughter of children. Such a blessing!

  5. Brian I had to come back and repost my comment because I don't think it went through last night when I thought I had submitted it. I LOVE how you describe how Alina's laugh has changed to one of feeling and joy, that is very perceptive of you! Her laugh is that way because of you...and your family! What a beautiful gift you all are to each other!
